A MATHEMATICAL PROBLEM-SOLVING PERCEPTION SCALE FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS: A VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY STUDY

Determining students' perceptions of problem-solving is an important step to improve their mathematical skills. For this reason, the aim study was develop a scale determine secondary school students’ problem solving. In conducted in basic research model, application, one quantitative methods, used. The sample consisted 325 students. Validity and reliability analyses were made with data obtained on sample. Five sub-dimensions determined through exploratory factor analysis. Confirmatory performed for these 5 sub-dimensions, fit indices found range from acceptable excellent. explained variance “Mathematical Problem-Solving Perception Scale” 66.15%, Cronbach alpha value whole .93.
